Act 21 of the 1st Extraordinary Session of the 85th General Assembly amended Ark. Code Ann. § 6-20-604(b)(3)(B) to require an isolated school or district that wishes to be considered for special needs funding for the 2006-2007 school year to file an affidavit of isolated school status, if it has not already done so, with the State Board of Education no later than June 1, 2006.
An "Affidavit of Isolated School Status" (Affidavit) form has been attached to this Memo. When completed, please mail or fax the Affidavit to the following address:

Please remember that under Ark. Code Ann. § 6-20-601, the isolated school or district must meet at least four (4) of the five (5) criteria listed on the Affidavit to potentially qualify for special needs funding.
