The Commission for Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation approved the following lists of Academic Facilities Partnership Program projects at the June 29, 2006, Commission meeting. The project lists consist of approved and disapproved projects for fiscal year 2006-2007 and are the final lists based on the Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation (DPSAFT) review. Districts are reminded of the right to appeal the Division’s recommendation. The appeal procedures to be followed are as outlined in Section 8.00 of the Arkansas Commission for Public School Facilities and Transportation Rules Governing the Academic Facilities Partnership Program.
In accordance with Ark. Code Ann. Sec. 6-20-2507, the DPSAFT and the school district must enter into a Partnership Agreement for eligible projects that specify the terms of the state’s financial participation and the conditions that must be satisfied by the school district. Two agreements have been developed for the Partnership Program – a Short Form for projects with total project costs of less than $20,000, and a Long Form for projects with total project costs exceeding $20,000.
To initiate Partnership Program projects for fiscal year 2006-2007, school districts should download the appropriate Partnership Program Agreement, complete and sign the agreement, and return it to the DPASFT for signature and final execution. An agreement must be executed for each Partnership Program project in order to receive state financial participation for the project.
