A writing prompt field test for the Grade 11 Literacy Examination is scheduled for October 11, 2006. The field test will take approximately one hour to administer. All school districts shall participate in the field test. The field test is conducted to replenish writing prompts for the items pool and to build a portion of the operational March 2007 Grade 11 Literacy Examination. Various groups were contacted to determine a date that would have as few conflicts as possible.

School districts should develop a testing schedule to administer this one-hour field test. All Grade 11 students who participate in the regular assessment should be tested with or without accommodations. This is a one-day test with no make-ups required.

Questar Educational Systems will be contacting districts to obtain enrollment numbers for students in Grade 11.
