The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has recommended the School Bus Safety Assurance Program Recall Listing January 1998 through June 2006 be distributed to every school district. This notification should be forwarded to the appropriate person responsible for inspecting the school buses.
The Arkansas Department of Education and NHTSA encourage all districts to complete all outstanding recall work on the local fleet. The Arkansas School Bus Mechanics Association and the Arkansas Association of Pupil Transportation support this maintenance schedule.
