National School Bus Safety Week will be observed the week of October 15 – 21, 2006. This week is set aside each year to promote school bus safety for all Arkansas students.
In an effort to promote school bus safety, the Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation will mail a National School Bus Safety poster and Danger Zone card to each district. The Danger Zone cards may be duplicated if additional copies are needed. For additional copies of the poster fax a request to National School Bus Safety Week posters at 518-218-0867. This year’s activity booklet can be downloaded from the National Association of Pupil Transportation (NAPT) web site at www.napt.org. It is recommended that each district use these items to educate students about school bus safety and the dangers of loading and unloading students.
