The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) and the Arkansas Education Television Network (AETN) are pleased to announce the beginning of the registration period for the Internet Delivered Education for Arkansas Schools (IDEAS) Online Professional Development Initiative’s TeacherLine courses. ADE and AETN have established 4,000 no-charge seats in twenty-four (24) Public Broadcast System (PBS) TeacherLine courses for the 2006-2007 school year. Registration is staggered in order for teachers in Years 3, 2, & 1 School Improvement locations to have the opportunity to register prior to open enrollment, which begins on October 18th.
Enrollment ends for the no-charge PBS TeacherLine courses when the 4,000 reserved seats are filled, or on October 21st, the last date of enrollment; or whichever comes first. Teachers may select one no-charge PBS TeacherLine course from the 2006-2007 Prioritized List for Online Courses.

PBS TeacherLine Prioritized List courses begin on Wednesday, November 1, 2006, and end on Wednesday, December 13, 2006. The free PBS TeacherLine event is available under ‘My Courses – Add’ section on the assigned availability date.
*All teachers that are employed by public schools and have a building assignment should see the principal/superintendent to obtain a personal 10-digit State Teacher ID number. The numbers have been sent to each of the public schools. Principals should remind each teacher of the time sensitive nature of the enrollment dates.
