Commissioner of Education, Dr. Ken James and the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) will host five mini-summits to introduce the campaign for high school redesign -- Next Step for Arkansas' Future -- around the state. The mini-summits will thoroughly explain the campaign and the research behind it.
Participation by secondary-level educators is strongly encouraged. Invitations will also be made to area business leaders, policy makers, and parents.
Each of the mini-summits will be held from 10 a.m. until noon and will be followed by round-table discussions from noon to 1 p.m. Lunch will be served during the round-table discussions.
Both entry to the mini-summits and the lunches are free. Reservations are required, however, and may be made by e-mailing Julie Johnson Thompson, Director of Communications, at julie.thompson@arkansas.gov. Please indicate the name of each person for whom a reservation is being made.
