The Easter Seals Arkansas Technology and Curriculum Access Center, in collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Education Special Education Unit, will offer a workshop at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ on December 12, 2006, on the topic of Enhancing Communication and Collaboration Skills with Parents. This workshop is intended for special education teachers, related services providers, paraprofessionals, and administrators. The workshop is designed to assist staff in effective, positive communication with parents. The workshop will include learning to use a skilled dialogue approach when collaborating with parents. The format for this workshop is cooperative learning and demonstration. Seating is limited. There is a $25 per person registration fee.
The workshop is three (3) hours long and is scheduled from 9:00AM to 12:00PM and again from 1:00PM to 4:00PM. Participant certificates will be given at the end of both sessions.
