Due to the inclement weather that has been experienced in the state, an extension has been granted changing the deadline for corrections to the Arkansas School Performance Report until 12:00 NOON, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 2007, in order to accommodate districts and to ensure data accuracy.
The 2005-2006 Arkansas School Performance Report will be published by March 15, 2007. The data currently on the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) databases, previously submitted by individual districts, will be used.
A draft of the 2005-2006 Annual School Performance Report Card data is available for viewing on the NORMES Website at http://normes.uark.edu/ by clicking on the “2006 Pre-Publication Performance Reports” icon. Please review the statistical information for accuracy. Information can be reviewed privately from January 29 - February 12, 2007.
If the information for a school or district is not correct as indicated, changes in the data may be requested by contacting Dr. Charity Smith at Charity.Smith@arkansas.gov and copy Denise Airola, dairola@uark.edu. Requested changes must be accompanied by supporting documentation. This documentation should include the source of the correct information and, if appropriate, the calculations used to determine the new data value. If the information is incorrect due to a data entry problem on Arkansas Public School Computer Network (APSCN), the original data should be submitted along with the correct data. Changes must be approved by the superintendent of the affected school district.
The directions for access to the data are listed below:
Step 1: Go to the NORMES website http://normes.uark.edu
Step 2: Click on the “2006 Pre-Publication Performance Reports” icon.
Step 3: Enter your NORMES username and password.
(Note: Administrators will use their EGuide/ED.STATS username and password to login. This will provide a private copy of the 2006 school performance report data.)
Step 4: Verify the information contained in the report.
Please review all data including the following sections:
1. American College Test
2. No Child Left Behind Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP)
3. Advanced Placement Courses
4. Annual Accreditation Status
5. Highly Qualified teachers
Criterion-referenced assessment data are reported corrected as per approved AYP appeals. Norm-referenced assessment data are reported from ADE press release data.
