A correction needs to be made to all four of the Geometry attachments for Commissioner’s Memo LS-07-090 regarding the Student Learning Expectation (SLE) # T.2.G.7 on page three of each Geometry document.
The student learning expectation states, “Use similarity of right triangles to express the sine, cosine, and tangent of an angle in a right triangle as a ratio of given side lengths, including angles of elevation and angles of depression.”
The Student Learning Expectation #T.2.G.7 on page three for all amended Geometry frameworks, including Geometry, Geometry A, Geometry B, and Investigating Geometry, needs to be corrected to state: “*Use similarity of right triangles to express the sine, cosine, and tangent of an angle in a right triangle as a ratio of given side lengths.”
The attached pages should be substituted for page three (3) in each of the amended Geometry frameworks.
