The Easter Seals Arkansas Technology and Curriculum Access Center, in collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), Special Education, will be offering five (5) professional development workshops this spring and summer entitled Using Multimedia to Create “Talking Books” and Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI) for Students with Diverse Abilities. The workshop is designed to assist teachers, therapists, paraprofessionals, parents, and related services providers to use computer hardware and software to develop computer assisted instruction for students with various abilities. The workshop format is hands-on and will be held in a computer lab setting at Easter Seals Arkansas, 3920 Woodland Heights Road, Little Rock, AR 72212 and has a $75 fee for the day. The workshops begin at 9:00 am and will end at 3:30 pm. Participants’ will be responsible for own lunch. Registration is limited to 15 persons per session and is considered complete after payment is received. Confirmation will be e-mailed to participants.
