The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) will host the 2007 Educators Career Fair on Saturday, May 12, 2007, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wyndham Hotel located at 2 Riverfront Place in North Little Rock.
The Educators Career Fair is designed to assist licensed teachers wanting to add an area of licensure or earn an advanced degree, and to facilitate school districts in the recruitment of licensed teachers and administrators for hard-to-staff vacancies. This event is for licensed teachers and administrators or new graduates licensed by August of 2007. Licensed educators from in-state and out-of-state are invited to attend. College and university education preparation programs and ADE programs will also be in attendance. These programs will provide information to educators regarding advancement of careers in education.
Superintendents, Education Service Cooperative Directors, Principals and School District Hiring Personnel are encouraged to register as exhibitors. Information can be shared with licensed teachers wishing to interview with local districts, earn an advanced degree, or add an area of licensure. Participating exhibitors will be provided with individual booth space to display information and meet with prospective teachers and administrators.
Registration is free but should be done early as booth space is limited. Organizations registered by May 1st will be included in the exhibitors’ brochure. Registration includes access to wireless Internet service, continental breakfast, and lunch for two (2) booth staff. Electricity is available by request only. To register, visit the following website location.
Please use the attached flyer to inform teachers about the opportunities to advance education careers. It may be posted in common areas such as teachers’ lounges and/or copied and distributed throughout the district.
