The State Board of Education approved the revised Social Studies Curriculum Framework documents for grades K-8 and high school courses on February 12, 2007. The frameworks are now posted on the Arkansas Department of Education website. These documents supersede previous revisions. Beginning in the 2007-2008 school year, all instruction in the content areas of social studies shall be aligned with the appropriate framework. The recently revised documents may be accessed at
