Child Nutrition (CN) Directors Certification Training will be held July 2-13, 2007, at Vilonia Middle School, Vilonia, AR. Training classes will meet on July 2-3, 5-6 and 9-13. Classes will NOT meet on July 4. Registration will be Monday, July 2 from 9:30am until 10:00am. The first general session will begin at 10:00am. All other classes will be held daily from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Lunch and dinner will be provided daily, except on July 13, 2007.
To attend CN Directors Certification Training, complete the following steps:
STEP 1
Review the attached Arkansas Child Nutrition Director Certification Program Requirements. Complete the attached APPLICATION FOR ACCEPTANCE for the program and mail to:

The application will be reviewed to ensure that it is complete and that education requirements and required recommendations are included. THE APPLICATION FOR ACCEPTANCE DEADLINE IS MAY 25, 2007.
STEP 2
The applicant will be notified of acceptance into the program. Notification of acceptance will include the STEP 2 REGISTRATION FORM that must be completed and mailed to the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) along with the registration fee. THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS JUNE 8, 2007.
STEP 3
UCA has made arrangements with several hotels in Conway to provide lodging while the training is in session. The commute between Conway and Vilonia Middle School, where the training will take place, is approximately 11 miles one-way. A list of hotels will be mailed with the REGISTRATION FORM. Participants must make reservations with a hotel by June 8, 2007, to receive discounted rates.
