The Annual Alternative Education Conference: Putting the Pieces Together, sponsored by the Arkansas Association of Alternative Educators (AAAE), The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) , and the Pygmalion Commission, will be held at the Hot Springs Convention Center on July 22, 23, and 24, 2007.
This year’s conference will feature national presenters with topics to include: proven intervention programs, drop out prevention, administrative issues, trends, statistics, research support, and national collaborations for educators working with at-risk youth.
The keynote speaker for the conference will be Dr. Crystal Kuykendall. Dr. Kuykendall is considered a very dynamic individual; and has astounded audiences and individuals through the power of observations and the warmth of words. A highly sought-after and savvy speaking sensation, Dr. Kuykendall is an engaging educator, human relations expert, legal analyst/litigator, endearing author, and loving mother.
