The University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) Juvenile Justice Center, in conjunction with the Division for Youth Services (DYS), is conducting a community needs assessment survey at the county level addressing juvenile service needs. High school and middle school administrators and counselors have been identified as key individuals to provide information regarding the needs and services available for at-risk youth via a survey that is available online at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.asp?u=234233296616 (Please copy and paste the address into a Web browser.)
Responses are needed by April 20, 2007.
Respondents are asked to provide accurate observations and opinions regarding the juvenile services available in the local county. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. All responses provided in the research study will be used solely for the purpose of identifying risk factors and addressing community needs at the county level. The information will be presented to the DYS Stakeholders Committee, which is a group comprised of judges, legislators, community services providers, mental health care providers and other professionals who work with juveniles.
