The Easter Seals Arkansas Technology and Curriculum Access Center (TCC), in collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), will offer professional development on the topic of Alternate Portfolio Assessment. This training is intended for special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, related services providers, paraprofessionals, testing coordinators, and administrators. Training will focus on how to develop high-quality, authentic portfolios for grades 3 through 8, 9th grade math, 10th grade science, and 11th grade literacy. During this training, participants will learn the basics of portfolios. This workshop is intended for teachers that have not developed a portfolio assessment in the past or that need basic portfolio information. The workshop will be a combination of demonstration and hands-on activities.
Please note that this is a beginning portfolio workshop and will address basic portfolio information. This workshop is not for teachers that are familiar with the basic portfolio process.
