The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) has completed the 2006 Millage Report. The report is attached. After May 1, it will also be available at: http://arkedu.state.ar.us/publications/reports.html#Reports. The report provides calendar year 2006 millage rates for taxes collectible in calendar year 2007 and includes millage rollbacks. The county clerk of the county in which the school district is administered provides to the ADE a certified copy of the certification of election and ballot. The Assessment Coordination Department is the source for adjustments or rollback of millage rates. The data from the 2006 Millage Report will be used in the calculation of school funding for fiscal year 2007-2008.
The 2006 Preliminary Millage Election Results, posted 12/06/06 as an attachment to Commissioner’s Memo FIN-07-042, is a preliminary report of millage rates resulting from elections but, does not include millage rollbacks.
Four districts that were consolidated or annexed under Act 60 of the Second Extraordinary Session of 2003 have not voted a unified millage rate. The millage rate of each former district is listed separately in the report. Please read the notes at the top of the report for further details.
