The Arkansas Department of Education Office of Teacher Quality is hosting the annual Beginning Administrator Induction Training on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 10 and 11, 2007. Attendance on both days is required for Beginning Administrators. The first day is also required of the mentor. The second day is optional for the mentor (though it is highly recommended). This two-day training will be held at the Clarion Resort on the Lake in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
It is the responsibility of all school districts to assure that each Beginning Administrator and/or Beginning Curriculum/Program Administrator, paired with an assigned practicing administrator mentor, is trained through this program. Administrators employed under an Administrator Licensure Completion Program (ALCP), or an Initial license (employed as a Building Level Administrator or Curriculum/Program Administrator), or a Standard license with less than one-year administrative experience, should attend this Induction Training.
Online registration is available at http://ArkansasEd.org/reg/induction.htm and is required no later than Tuesday, June 5, 2007. One registration per Beginning Administrator-Mentor pair should be submitted.
