Act 1591 of the 2007 Regular Session amended Arkansas Code Title 6, Chapter 15, Subchapter 23 Sec.6-15-2302. The act defines a general business manager for a public school district. This act requires that the State Board of Education shall promulgate rules which establish the minimum qualifications for a general business manager and that support best financial management practices for public school districts. Business managers employed by districts prior to 2007-2008 school year will be exempt from the provisions of Act 1591.
