Act 828 of 2007 amends Arkansas Code Title 6, Chapter 10, Subchapter 1 to add an additional section 6-10-121, requiring Tornado Safety Drills in public schools.

The Act also specifically states that: “It shall be the duty of the Director of the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management to require all public schools to conduct tornado safety drills not less than four times per year in the months of September, October, January, and February.” Reporting procedures for tornado drills will be established prior to the start of the next drill period.
