Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Special Education Procedural Requirements and Program Standards, Section 19.00, includes criteria and guidelines for the provision and payment of Extended School Year (ESY) services to students with disabilities. ESY, Part One, covers the period of time from the close of the current school year through June 30, 2007, and is reimbursed from a current year state line item appropriation. The reimbursement for the period ending June 30, 2007, (Part One) will be $74 per student per day.
ESY, Part One, payment requests will be filed on the Arkansas Department of Education, Special Education website, http://arksped.k12.ar.us, beginning May 21, 2007, through June 12, 2007.
