The State Board of Education approved the following rules to go out for public comment at the July 9, 2007, meeting.
*Proposed Revisions of Rules Governing Parental Notification of an Assignment of a Non-Licensed Teacher to Teach a Class for More than Thirty (30) Consecutive Days and for Granting Waivers (Act 1623).
*Proposed Revisions to the Rules Governing the Requirements and Procedures for Renewing a Standard Arkansas Teaching License.
The public hearing for the two rules listed above will be August 16, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. in the ADE Auditorium. The public comment period ends August 24, 2007.
The following two rules have also been approved for public comment.
*Proposed Revisions of Rules Governing Waivers for Substitute Teachers.
*Proposed Rules Governing the Lifetime Teaching License.
The Public hearing for both of these rules will be August 9, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. in the ADE Auditorium. The public comment period ends August 24, 2007.
