At the July 9, 2007, meeting, the State Board of Education approved the request from the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) to seek public input on the Proposed Rules Governing Distribution of Student Special Needs Funding and the Determination of Allowable Expenditure of Those Funds. A public hearing will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the ADE conference room 201-A.
This rule was developed to implement Ark. Code Ann. §§ 6-11-105 and 6-20-2301 et. seq. and Acts 811 and 1590 of the 2007 regular session.
Public notice will run in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette beginning July 25, 2007. Written comments will be accepted in Dr. Bobbie Davis’ office, Room 103B, #4 Capitol Mall, Little Rock, AR 72201 until 3:00 p.m., August 22, 2007.
