In order to meet emerging, unique needs of each district's student population, periodic adjustments may be necessary to align supervisor strengths with the needs. As the Arkansas Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (ACSIP) unit continues to strive to assist school districts in redirecting the focus of the ACSIP to student learning, the following communicates some immediate goals of the ACSIP unit:
* Foster improved student achievement by facilitating and maintaining consistent statewide assistance.
* Align services to compliment local and state initiatives.
* Implement differentiated approval processes to accelerate the release of funds to districts without compromising the intent and purposes of individual plans and directional impact on students.
* Implement current legislative mandates to monitor statewide implementation of ACSIP.
Consistency is the primary vehicle to ensure smooth transitions when change is necessary. Exit and entrance protocols have been developed and discussed with all ACSIP supervisors to assist in the attempt to make this process the least disruptive to the planning that has been occurring in each district to date. The current territory assignment of all ACSIP supervisors is attached. Please work with each supervisor to ensure the district needs and student interests are being served. If 'vacant' is assigned to the district, it means the ACSIP unit is in the process of hiring additional personnel. Patience is appreciated.
