School district personnel policies and salary schedules for both certified and classified employees shall be filed electronically with the Department of Education by September 15, 2007. Ark.Code Ann. § 6-17-201 states, "No school district shall receive in any year any additional state foundation funding from the Public School Fund until the district has filed electronically by the established deadline its current personnel policies in a format specified by the Department of Education, including the salary schedule as required by this subchapter.” Electronic submission of personnel policies shall be submitted to the Department in Microsoft Word format. Salary schedules shall be submitted in Microsoft Excel format. The attached Certified Salary Recap sheet should be submitted with the certified salary schedule. Each document should include the date the document was adopted or the school year for which the document is applicable, the school district name and the school district LEA. SUBMISSIONS IN ANY OTHER FORMAT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. The electronic documents should be submitted via email. Emails should be sent to Yvonne Williams at yvonne.williams@arkansas.gov. A written copy of the policies signed by the school board president shall be retained by the school district in a central records location. While school district policies MUST be filed electronically, an executed signature page must be sent to the Department. Attached is a signature form that districts may use for compliance with Ark.Code Ann. § 6-17-201.
