Easter Seals Outreach, in association with the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), Special Education is conducting a workshop entitled, “Appropriate Educational Programming for Students with Severe/Multiple Disabilities.” The training content will include research-based and current best practices for developing an appropriate educational program for students with disabilities, ages 5-13. This training has been developed specifically for self-contained and resource teachers (K – Middle School), who are either new to special education or have expressed the need for assistance with programming for students with the most severe disabilities.
The workshop will be conducted at the following locations and dates:
September 19, 2007 - Northwest Arkansas Education Service Cooperative (NAESC), Farmington
October 10, 2007 - Ozarks Unlimited Resource (OUR) Cooperative, Harrison
October 30, 2007 - Great Rivers Educational Services Cooperative (GRESC), West Helena
November 7, 2007 -South Central Service Cooperative, Camden
December 4, 2007 - Ozarks Unlimited Resource (OUR) Cooperative, Harrison
All workshop times are from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m. Seating is limited. Registration is $75 per person.
