The Arkansas Curriculum Conference (ACC) will be held November 1-2, 2007, at the Little Rock Statehouse Convention Center and Peabody Hotel. ACC is a curriculum conference for elementary, secondary, and university teachers. The 2007 theme for the conference is “Closing the Achievement Gap”. Sessions and workshops will provide content and instructional strategies in mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts content areas. The conference is sponsored by the following professional organizations: Arkansas Council of Teachers of Mathematics, Arkansas Science Teachers Association, Arkansas Council for the Social Studies, and Arkansas Council of Teachers of Language Arts. In addition to sessions and short courses, each professional organization will sponsor a luncheon featuring a nationally recognized speaker in the respective discipline. All ACC sessions have been approved by the Arkansas Department of Education for professional development credit.
Cost for conference registration is $55 for one day or $75 for two days. Conference sessions will be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2007, and from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, November 2, 2007.
