Act 989 of 2007 amended Ark. Code Ann. §§ 6-20-2507 and 6-21-806 which are the laws that determine the responsibilities of the Commission for Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation and establish the authority to administer the Partnership Program and the Master Plan Program. Proposed changes to the rules on the two programs have received approval by the Commission for Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation to be placed out for public comment. Accordingly a public hearing will be held on the following proposed rules in the Auditorium of the Arkansas Department of Education, #4 Capitol Mall, Little Rock, AR. at the date and times listed below:

Facility Partnership Program Rule: 8:00 AM, October 16, 2007
Facility Master Plan Program Rule: 10:00 AM, October 16, 2007

School district superintendents are encouraged to review the rules and provide comments as applicable. Written comments should be mailed to Doug Eaton, Director, Arkansas Division of Public School Academic Facilities and Transportation, 501 Woodlane Street, Suite 600, Little Rock, AR 72201. Comments must be received prior to November 16, 2007.
