National Parental Involvement Day is Thursday, November 15, 2007. Arkansas schools have recognized the need for involvement and are continually promoting parental involvement within the schools and community. The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) will be promoting National Parental Involvement Day through various media and urges schools to join in promoting parental involvement in the local communities on this nationally-recognized day. The state’s parental involvement brochure, A Parent’s Guide to Helping Your Child Excel, is attached. The brochures have also been provided to all area education cooperatives for schools to distribute to parents.
