Any currently active National Board Certified Teacher (NBCT) employed as a principal or assistant principal in an Arkansas public school is eligible to receive the annual National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) state bonus pursuant to Ark.Code Ann. § 6-17-413. On July 9, 2007, the Arkansas State Board of Education approved Rules for NBPTS support, which also allow the annual bonus for any currently active NBCT licensed as, and employed as a Curriculum/Program Administrator in an Arkansas public school.
