The Division has recently posted revised cost estimating charts for planning purposes. School districts may use the charts with the School District Master Plan and with Partnership Program applications to be submitted in 2008 to estimate anticipated construction costs. The Division will use charts numbered 1 and 2 with the most current Facilities Wealth Index in computing the qualifying project cost and the estimated basis of the state’s financial participation in the Partnership Program for the 2009-2011 biennium. These charts will be updated in the 4th quarter, 2008 to reflect more current estimated construction costs.
Three Cost Estimating Charts have been posted:
1. Chart # 1: New Facilities Cost Estimates: This chart may be used for estimating contruction costs of new academic facilities.
2. Chart # 2: Renovation and Conversion Cost Estimates: This chart may be used for estimating conversion costs of academic spaces and for new renovation projects.
3. Chart # 3: Furniture, Equipment and Technology: This chart may be used for estimating furnishings for new construction. (This chart is strictly for school district planning purposes only and will not be utilized by the Division in its estimating process).
