Description: Educational Services for the Visually Impaired (ESVI), in collaboration with the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), Special Education Unit, will offer professional development in working with students with visual impairments. Training will focus on the tools that teachers need in order to promote success for students with visual impairments. Participants will attend sessions that focus on user friendly teaching tools, low vision solutions, low tech solutions, accessing digital books, orientation and mobility skills, and Braille.
The workshop will be held at Crowley’s Ridge Education Service Cooperative in Harrisburg, AR. Registration is limited to the first 50 people. Participants must register for the workshop prior to December 3, 2007. There is a $75.00 per person fee. The workshop announcement and registration form are attached.
