The State Board of Education approved the Amended Social Studies Curriculum Framework for grades 7 and 8 on November 5, 2007. The amended framework is now posted on the Arkansas Department of Education Web site and is titled, K-8 SOCIAL STUDIES CURRICULUM FRAMEWORK REVISED 2006 AMENDED NOVEMBER 2007. This document supersedes previous revisions. Beginning in the 2008-2009 school year, all instruction in the area of social studies for grades 7 and 8 shall be aligned with the amended framework.
