The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) and the Northeast Arkansas Education Cooperative will sponsor the first Arkansas Student Filmmaking Competition 2008 to be held on Friday, February 29-Saturday, March 1, 2008, in Hot Springs at the downtown Malco Theatre.
A celebrity will be attending on Friday night to host the event. A film made by the celebrity will open the event. On Saturday morning, students’ films will be showcased and exhibited. The winning filmmakers will receive awards during the noon luncheon on Saturday.
The competition is open to all Arkansas K-12 students, which also includes home schooled students.
Attached are the guidelines, rules, regulations, and entry form for the competition. THE DEADLINE TO ENTER THE COMPETITION IS FEBRUARY 4, 2008. Entries are to be submitted to the following address:
