In December 2007 Congress passed the FY 2008 Appropriations Act (Public Law 110-161) for federal education programs under No Child Left Behind (NCLB). President Bush signed this act into law December 28, 2007. Funding for Title V, Part A, Innovative Programs for the 2008-2009 school year has been set at $0.
This means that there will be no Title V, Part A, Innovative Program funds allotted to districts for 2008-2009. Funds carried over into 2008-2009 must be included in Arkansas Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (ACSIP) and used by districts for Title V, Part A purposes. Districts may continue to transfer funds into Title V and use the funds for Title V purposes at the present time or until No Child Left Behind is reauthorized or repealed. Please keep this in mind as planning for the 2008-2009 school year begins.
The Arkansas Public School Computer Network (APSCN) Source Code for Title V-A formula grants is 6520 and the Revenue Code is 45130.
