The Office of Coordinated School Health within the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) is pleased to announce the 2008 School Health Conference, “Building for Success: Identifying the Tools.” The conference will be held June 24 – 26, 2008, at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
The focus of the conference is to provide information and resources for parents, educators, health care professionals, and community members to assist with the education of the whole child. Participants will be provided a vast array of resources and tools that are available in Arkansas to help improve the health and academics of Arkansas students.
Among the keynote speakers are Arkansas Governor Mike Beebe; Arkansas Surgeon General, Dr. Joe Thompson; Education Commissioner, Dr. Ken James; Director of Health Department, Dr. Paul Halverson; and Director of Human Services, John Selig.
