Act 724 of 2007 requires the following data collection schedule beginning with 2007-2008 data:
1. Collect data from public school districts on full-time equivalents (FTEs) and average teachers’ salaries by July 31 of each year.
2. Collect actual revenue and expenditure data by August 31 of each year.
3. Collect budgeted revenue and expenditures by September 30 of each year.
Act 724 also requires the Arkansas Public School Computer Network (APSCN) to have the programs necessary to collect the data at least 30 days prior to the submission deadline.
In order to comply with the data collection requirements of Act 724, two additional cycles will be added:
Cycle 8 will be due July 31 of each year and will consist primarily of the Page 36/37 report containing personnel FTEs and salaries.
Cycle 9 will be due on August 31 of each year and will consist primarily of prior year financial data (employee salary/benefits, etc.). Also collected in Cycle 9 will be this year’s student graduate information which was previously collected in Cycle 2. All students graduating in the current courses/credit and Grade Point Average (GPA) should be entered and up-to-date prior to the cycle opening date.
The Cycle 1 deadline has been pushed back to September 30 of each year and will consist primarily of current year budgeted financial data.
