The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) recognizes early defibrillation may help sustain life by temporarily stabilizing an individual in cardiac arrest. In collaboration with the American Heart Association, the ADE is providing this information to schools purchasing an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Schools are encouraged to review the attached information and protocol in researching the AED.
