The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) will host the 2008 Educators Career Fair on Saturday May 10, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel located at 2 Riverfront Place in North Little Rock.
The Educators Career Fair is designed to assist licensed teachers desiring to add an area of licensure or earn an advanced degree, and to facilitate school districts in the recruitment of licensed teachers and administrators for hard-to-staff vacancies. This event is for licensed teachers and administrators or new teachers to be licensed by August of 2008. Licensed educators from in-state and out-of-state are invited to attend. College and university education preparation programs and ADE programs will be available to provide information to educators regarding advancement of careers in education.
Superintendents, Education Service Cooperative Directors, Principals and school district hiring personnel are encouraged to register as exhibitors. Participating exhibitors will be provided with individual booth space to display information and/or to meet with prospective teachers and administrators.
Registration is free but should be done early as booth space is limited. Organizations registered by May 1, 2008, will be included in the exhibitors’ brochure. Registration includes access to wireless Internet service, continental breakfast and lunch for two (2) booth staff. Electricity is available by advance request only.
