The Arkansas Parent Center Coordinator Conference (APCC) will be held on April 30, 2008, through May 2, 2008, at the Jones Center for Families in Springdale, Arkansas. This is the annual Title I Arkansas Parent Center Coordinators Conference that is being hosted by the Arkansas State Parent Information & Resource Center (PIRC) / Center for Effective Parenting located in Springdale, Arkansas.
Participants will receive “train the trainer” materials and the tools that will support professional development training for educational staff. Workshops will be available on No Child Left Behind, Title I goals, and specific strategies that will assist school districts in improving student’s academic success.
Each attendee will receive a Parent Center Coordinators Handbook. The handbook was a collaborating effort of experienced parent center coordinators and reproduced by the PIRC Center for Effective Parenting.
