The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Office of Coordinated School Health in collaboration with Delta Dental of Arkansas will host the Oral Health/Land of Smiles Curriculum Training. This free training will focus on the use of a powerful new oral health education curriculum. Workshop materials and lunch will be provided FREE OF CHARGE to every attendee. There is no registration fee. This curriculum contains an entertaining DVD which includes six chapters, each with its own activity sheets. The curriculum was designed to meet several of the Arkansas Health Education Curriculum Frameworks and Course Content Guides including those pertaining to Oral Health, Physical Activity, Nutrition and Tobacco Prevention. Every attendee will be provided with the curriculum kit and will have a chance to win exciting door prizes. Six hours of professional development will be provided. The workshop will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2008, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Hotel located at 201 South Shackleford in Little Rock, Arkansas.
