The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Office of Teacher Quality is hosting the Beginning Administrator Induction Training on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 8-9, 2008. Beginning Administrators are required to attend both days. Mentors are required to attend the first day and attendance the second day is highly recommended. This two-day training will be held at the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel, North Little Rock, Arkansas.
It is the responsibility of all school districts to assure that each Beginning Building Level Administrator and/or Curriculum/Program Administrator, paired with an assigned practicing administrator mentor, attend and be trained through this program. Administrators in the first, second, or third year of an Administrator Licensure Completion Program (ALCP) are required to attend this training. Administrators holding an Initial license (employed for the first time as a Building Level Administrator or Curriculum/Program Administrator), or holding a Standard License with less than one-year administrator experience in the state of Arkansas are also required to attend this training.
