The spring 2008 administration of the Stanford Early School Achievement Test2(SESAT2) assessment was compromised in such a way as to invalidate the results. Therefore, the decision has been made not to score the tests. This cohort of children will be assessed in the fall of 2008 using another instrument so that data will be available for school districts to use for legally mandated reporting, including creation of Intensive Reading Interventions (IRI) and Academic Improvement Plans (AIP).
Complete information regarding the instrument, the fall testing dates, and test administration procedures will be forthcoming. The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) appreciates the continued understanding and assistance of all school districts during this period of transition.
