CYCLE 8 TRAINING Schedule
Arkansas Public School Computer Network (APSCN) will provide live web conference training for Cycle 8 using Acrobat Connect Professional. This will allow the user to join the session via the Internet from the participant's computer, which will save on travel time and expense.
Although a district will be allowed to join only one session, there is no limit to the number of persons that can view the session from the district computer connected to the session. There is a limit of 25 connects to each web conferencing session; therefore, it is necessary to assign each district a specific date and time to join the session. The dates and times have been assigned in LEA number order; however, if the assigned date and time is absolutely impossible, email ADE.APSCN@arkansas.gov and request an alternate date and time listing at least two other preferred dates and times. Include in the email a contact name, district, and email address to receive the reply. However, PLEASE, IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, make a concerted effort to join the session at the assigned date and time. The schedule of the assigned dates and times is attached to this memo.
The sessions will be presented on Tuesday, June 24; Wednesday, June 25; Thursday, June 26; and Friday, June 27. There will be three sessions per day at 9:00 a.m., 11:00 a.m., and 2:00 p.m. The sessions will last between 30 minutes to one-hour.
INSTRUCTIONS ON JOINING THE SESSION
The day before the assigned session, please print the Cycle 8 instructions from the APSCN website, www.k12.ar.us. Select the Statewide Information System (SIS) drop down menu and click on "Statewide Information System." Scroll to the Cycle 8 Section and open and print the Cycle 8 Instructions document.
About five minutes before the assigned session open a web browser and type in the following URL address: http://adeconnect.arkansas.gov/r23501842. Sign in as a guest using a first name and last name. The session will start in a short time.
