The Arkansas State Parent Involvement Resource Center/Center for Effective Parenting is offering a half-day workshop to train trainers in two new modules designed to meet the critical needs of parental involvement in the academic growth of children. These latest modules in the Strengthening the Partnership series are designed to present to parents and are less than one hour in length, fitting nicely into a parent meeting or parent support group. Training and training materials will be provided and will include a presenter script, participant handouts, and an evaluation form. The half-day training will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m at the Central Arkansas Library System, Main Library (Darragh Center) located at 100 Rock Street, Little Rock, Arkansas.
Participants are encouraged to register in advance. On-site registration is not encouraged, but will be permitted based only on space and material availability. Space and materials will be made available first to the participants registered in advance. More detailed information and a registration form are included as an attachment to this Commissioner’s Memo.
