The Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) Alternative Learning (ALE) is pleased to announce a required professional development training, Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) in ALE, for school districts that submitted a program proposal prior to October 1, 2008. The purpose of the meeting is to provide training for JAG in ALE programs, which is a new partnership support for alternative education programs. The training will enable ALE instructors to become certified JAG Specialists.
National leaders will be conducting the training in competency attainment, employer marketing, follow-up services, and national database management.
The training will be held on October 15-17, 2008, at the Dawson Education Services Cooperative located at 711 Clinton Street in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. A $50.00 registration fee is required for the certified specialist training. The ALE JAG Registration Form is attached to this Commissioner’s Memorandum.
