Arkansas Public School Computer Network (APSCN) will be publishing a monthly year-to-date Maintenance & Operations expenditure report to help districts meet the 9% M&O expenditure requirement (see Commissioner Memo COM-08-158). Several districts did not meet the requirement in year 08 and had to set up a Facilities Escrow Fund and/or make correcting entries.
The year-to-date M&O report is for fund 2000, function 2600-2699, object range 61000-65199|65300-69999, and includes a comparison to the fiscal year 09 expenditure requirement and variance. The M&O expenditures for the 9% requirement must be coded to fund 2000 only.
The attached expenditure report, with data through period 4, was pulled from district databases and loaded in the COGNOS data warehouse on November 7, 2008. This report is posted to the APSCN web page, www.apscn.org. From the main menu bar select Reports, on the next screen select District Financial Reports, and then the 9% M&O Required Expenditure YTD 2008/2009 report.
