School districts provide the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE) with the mailing address of parents and guardians in order for the State Report Card to be mailed. This information is submitted in Cycle 3, due November 15th of each year.
ADE is in the process of determining what, if any, new or revised data items will need to be collected during the 2009-2010 school year. One new required item is the physical address of students. The physical address is required in order to better analyze the transportation requirements of school districts. School districts are to collect the student’s physical or 911 address and enter it accurately in Pentamation’s StudentPLUS software on the student address screen. This memo is being sent to give districts sufficient time to gather and enter accurate student addresses prior to November 15, 2009.
