The Easter Seals Arkansas Technology and Curriculum Access Center, in affiliation with the Arkansas Department of Education (ADE), will offer professional development on the topic of Alternate Portfolio Assessment Basics. This workshop is designed for special education teachers, paraprofessionals, speech pathologists, general education teachers and special education administrators involved with developing or providing assistance with alternate portfolio assessment.
This two day workshop is designed for participants new to the alternate portfolio process or participants that need a review of the basics. The first day of the workshop will involve instruction about alternate portfolio requirements and implementation. During the second day, participants will meet in the lab and learn how to use a variety of resources in order to plan for and provide quality instruction and alternate portfolio submissions. Each workshop will be limited to 12 participants in order to provide individual assistance. Cost of the workshop is $200.00.
Participants are responsible for providing own lunch. The workshop is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on both days at Easter Seals Arkansas, 3920 Woodland Heights Road, Little Rock, Arkansas. This workshop will be offered on the following dates:
